Accessibility

Halifax Convention Centre

The Halifax Convention Centre is a new facility and exceeds accessibility standards in all areas. Tactile/braille signage is at the entrances of all meeting rooms and restrooms as well as inside and outside all passenger elevators. Elevators are further equipped with audible signals for the hearing impaired. Drinking fountains and restrooms throughout the building are wheelchair accessible, and each level has one private, universal washroom.

Hotels

Cambridge Suites Halifax/Barrington/Prince George

Common areas are all accessible. Each hotel has limited accessible rooms available so book early if required.

A block of accessible rooms has been reserved at the Marriott Residence Inn under ‘CHF Canada Annual Meeting.’ Please contact Mary-Jane Wells at 902-431-3114 and specify that you are booking an accessible room in the CHF Canada room block.
