CHFC 2026 Annual Meeting

Know Before You Go

Everything you need to know about attending the CHFC 2026 Annual Meeting in Fredericton.

Welcome to CHFC 2026

As we gather together, we ask all attendees to help create a conference environment grounded in co-operative values: respect, inclusion, equity, collaboration, and care for one another.

This event is a space for open dialogue, shared learning, and diverse perspectives. We encourage everyone to listen with curiosity, engage with kindness, and contribute in ways that make others feel welcomed and valued.

Whether in sessions, networking events, or informal conversations, let’s lead with empathy, professionalism, and a spirit of community. Together, we can create an experience that reflects the best of the co-operative movement — one where everyone belongs and everyone has the opportunity to participate fully.

We respectfully acknowledge that this conference is taking place on the traditional and unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) Peoples, whose ancestors have lived along the Wolastoq — now known as the Saint John River — for generations. Fredericton is located within the traditional lands governed by the Peace and Friendship Treaties, which remain in effect today.
We recognize the enduring presence, knowledge, and contributions of Indigenous Peoples in this region and across Turtle Island. As we gather, we commit to listening, learning, and fostering relationships grounded in respect, reciprocity, and reconciliation.

Local Tip: On Saturday morning make time to check out the Boyce Farmers Market – just a 7 minute walk from the Convention Center at 665 George St. It opens at 7am!

Accessibility

Accessibility is a priority for us, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all attendees can fully participate and feel comfortable. This is a scent-free meeting space, and we kindly ask all participants to respect this to help ensure the well-being of those with sensitivities. We also recognize that accessibility needs can vary and are not always captured at the time of registration—if you require any accommodations or did not indicate them on your registration form, please reach out to us (registration@chfcanada.coop) so we can work with you to support your participation. Dietary needs are equally important to us, and we will do our best to accommodate a wide range of requirements to ensure everyone is cared for throughout the event.

Not sure if you have already indicated your dietary or accessibility needs? You can find it in the ‘Registrant-Confirmation” attachment in your confirmation email.
