Born in Windsor, raised in Timmins, ordained in 1982 as a priest of that diocese. Taught high school for five years, led a few parishes. Was ordained as auxiliary bishop of Sault-Ste-Marie in 1997; named as bishop of Alexandria-Cornwall in 2002 and archbishop of Gatineau in 2011. Was president of the CCCB 2013-2015. Writes books, composes music and takes walks.
