Notice of Filming and Photography

When you attend the Royal Society of Canada (RSC), Celebration of Excellence and Engagement, you enter an environment where photography, audio, and video recording, may take place. By entering the event premises, you consent to being photographed, recorded, or streamed. You grant RSC, its representatives, and designated partners the right to capture, reproduce, use, and distribute these images and recordings in any format—print, digital, broadcast, or social media—now or in the future. These materials may be used for event promotion, publicity, or any other purpose deemed appropriate by the RSC and its affiliates. You release the RSC and all involved parties from any liability related to these activities. By attending, you waive any rights to compensation or royalties for the use of your image or likeness, regardless of the purpose or platform. You also waive the right to inspect or approve any photos, videos, or recordings taken by RSC or its designated representatives. Your entry to the event premises confirms your understanding and agreement to this notice.

Terms and Conditions

D.E. Systems' myConferenceSuite Registration System is responsible for personal information under its control. Collection of personal information by myConferenceSuite will be limited to what is necessary for the purposes of registration for the event.

When we use trusted third parties to act on our behalf by performing such functions as processing credit card payments, contractual or other appropriate means are used to ensure compliance by such third parties with this Policy and all applicable privacy laws.

Personal information will not be used or disclosed for purposes other than those for which it was collected, to process the registration data to a given event.

We will keep your personal information as accurate, complete and up-to-date as necessary for the purposes for which it is to be used.

The Policy is subject to PIPEDA and/or any other applicable privacy laws and myConferenceSuite reserves the right to change it at any time.
