CAMRT’s Duty of Care to Attendees

The safety and well-being of our attendees is our top priority. We have been working diligently to return to in-person meetings safely, including ongoing consultation regarding provincial and regional public health guidelines in Vancouver. This has resulted in the following "living" document which will evolve and further enhance the onsite experience and safety for everyone in attendance. It is the intention of CAMRT to go above and beyond provincial and municipal public health guidelines in Vancouver regarding COVID-19 at the time of the event in April 2022. Our host venue, The Sheraton Wall Centre, also has several protocols in place per the Marriot Brand Standard. You can find their full up-to-date statement here: https://whattoexpect.marriott.com/yvrws

We will follow the below outlined protocols for our in-person attendees:

  • CAMRT is requiring all CAMRT Conference attendees [planners, partners, onsite AV technicians and speakers] be fully vaccinated prior to attending the conference.
    • We will request you to show proof [check with your province for vaccine documentation] of vaccination during the onsite registration process when you pick up your badge. We are an inclusive organization and would like you to join the conference - If you are not vaccinated, we invite you to register to attend our conference virtually.
  • Maximum of 80% capacity in any of the meeting rooms and throughout the entirety of our booked event space
  • Face covering (masks) required at all times unless the attendee is eating or drinking
  • Physical distancing of attendees will be required
  • Additional hand washing and sanitizing stations.

Beyond the above, a detailed code of conduct will be sent to all in-person attendees ahead of the event to ensure everyone agrees to this personal accountability agreement to follow the protocols put in place for the health and well-being of all those in attendance, including attendees, CAMRT staff, venue staff, speakers, volunteers etc.

Attendees Duty of Care to Each Other

CAMRT 2022 has been planned and structured with the safety and comfort of our guests in mind. Once onsite, however, we need the support and collaboration of all attendees to manage risk and keep each other safe.

With this in mind, we ask every attendee to abide by the distancing, hygiene and mask wearing guidelines as outlined above. Should you develop symptoms while present at the conference, we ask you to please contact our onsite health officer by phone or email.

Please do not present yourself at the registration desk or participate in in-person conference activities.
