HERITAGE CHOCOLATE EXPERIENCE
9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Enjoy a guided drive through scenic Eastern Prince Edward Island.
Step back in time with a visit to Jean Pierre Roma’s French settlement of the 1730s and the panoramic views of Brudenell Point. With his company’s concession from the French king, Roma had big plans to trade fish and food crops with Louisburg, France and the French West Indies while importing sugar cane, rum and chocolate. His dreams and disappointments weave a fascinating story!
Guests will be met at the bus by a period costumed worker and welcomed to Roma’s trading post.
Under the guidance of a chef and the historical commentary of a Roma guide interpreter, participate in or observe the making of confectionery with our unique heritage chocolate, inspired by an authentic colonial recipe. Taste and enjoy heritage chocolate in its various forms.
Lunch choices include a choice of tasty homemade soup, seafood chowder, a fish cake with baked beans or traditional meat pie. Gluten friendly and vegetarian options are available. All choices are served with fresh bread baked in Roma’s outdoor wood oven, and a cup of herbal iced tea , heritage hot chocolate or coffee and a heritage chocolate dessert.
With remaining time, guests can choose to visit the Heritage Garden, walk to Roma Point, the location of the original settlement or visit the Heritage Room to view artifacts uncovered during the archaeological digs.

FOX MEADOW GOLF COURSE
8:30 am – 3:00 pm
In the summer of 2000, Fox Meadow Golf Course opened to the golfing public. It was conceived as a legacy project and brought to life via the sheer will of one man’s vision. Simon Compton spent his life serving his community and wanted to build a golf course that would serve the community of Stratford for years to come.
Although the ownership of the course changed hands in 2018, the legacy remains the same. The Gray family, Wayne, Cory & Darren remain committed to carrying on this vision. In the 20 years since its construction, Fox Meadow has grown into a central part of the community of Stratford, PE. From the hundreds of thousands of dollars raised via charity events, the many young people employed and coached over the years, to our lasting commitment to environmental integrity, Fox Meadow is more than simply a golf course…it’s part of the fabric of the town.
However, Fox Meadow doesn’t take this legacy lightly. It’s simply our nature to provide a natural, sustainable, and most of all fun golf experience. With our wonderful partners at Hunters at the Fox and our continued commitment to creating the best golf outing possible, we hope to see you soon.
Fox Meadow is an engaging golf property that embraces its natural PEI surroundings, and provides golfers with spectacular rural and superb city harbour views. Located just minutes from historic downtown Charlottetown, Fox Meadow is the perfect golf destination.
A Lunch & drink is included in this event and can be ordered from restaurant menu.
Golf Club rentals – Left / Right $35.00 plus tax, payment at course upon arrival.
Fox Meadow Golf Course features:
