ACADIAN KITCHEN PARTY

An Acadian Kitchen Party featuring some of Atlantic Canada’s greatest talent including Marcella Richard, Patricia Richard, Roland Beaulieu, Richard Wood, Keelin Wedge, Skip Holmes and Kimberley Holmes. No Acadian Kitchen Party is complete without a participatory square dance led by non-other than Ward MacDonald as well as some high energy stepdancing!
Marcella Richard grew up amongst a musical family and was surrounded by fiddles, harmonicas, mandolins, guitars and songs. She currently has four recordings to her name and her most recent recording Marcella Richard Sings Roy MacCaull was released in 2018. Her songs have been played on radio stations across Canada, in Louisiana and in France, and have reached the number one spot on charts in the Maritimes. Her voice has been described as one that goes straight to the soul and can make you laugh, dance and even cry. She will be accompanied by her sister Patricia Richard as well as Roland Beaulieu.
Richard Wood has blown away sold-out audiences around the globe with his traditional-born, fiery brand of Celtic music for more than three decades. He is a 5-time ECMA and multi-Music PEI Award-winner, a two-time recipient of the Don Messer Memorial Trophy and winner of countless step-dancing & fiddling championships. His Canadian Folk Music Award-nominated and ECMA award-winning 8th album, Unbroken, has reviewers praising it as some of his best work to date! He will be joined on stage by Keelin Wedge, Skip Holmes and Kimberly Holmes.
