ABOUT VOLUNTEERING AT NCLP

Program organizers rely on volunteer summer students to perform essential services that help make the event possible. Volunteers are asked to trade two days of service (including the Sunday before and/or Day 1 on Monday) in exchange for free attendance at the Program, access to the Program materials, and a Program t-shirt. Volunteers will assist with: registration, conducting Faculty tours, directing VIP’s, directing delegates to breakout rooms, escorting delegates to empty seats, assisting exhibitors, and other tasks.

Volunteers should have customer service experience and bilingualism is an asset. This opportunity is open to any current students at Canadian universities studying law or other legal education programs. Canadian students studying law abroad are also eligible. We are unable to provide funding for travel or accommodation. Note that we do not accept articling students as volunteers. Articling students are eligible for a discounted registration fee.

SIGNING UP

If you would like to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to network and learn with some of Canada’s finest criminal law practitioners, please complete the sign up form no later than April 15, 2026.

Questions can be emailed to nclpcoordinator@flsc.ca.

The volunteer group is limited to 20 so please submit as early as possible to confirm your spot. Positions will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis to those who meet the availability and eligibility requirements (i.e. available Sunday July 5 and/or Monday July 6, as well as one of July 7, 8 ,9, or 10).

Volunteering during NCLP 2024 was such an amazing experience that really enriched my time as a law student. Getting the chance to work alongside other passionate students, interact with judges, lawyers, and other legal professionals from across the country, and gain access to the amazing Program materials were some of my personal highlights! Not to mention, the whole volunteering process was so well organized – the team at Coherent Solutions is a joy to work with!
