Firefox

  1. In the FireFox address bar, type about:config.

Internet Explorer

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, then click the Security tab.
  2. Click the Internet Zone.
  3. If you do not have to customize your Internet security settings, click Default Level. Then do step 4.
  4. If you have to customize your Internet security settings, follow these steps:
    a. Click Custom Level.
    b. In the Security Settings - Internet Zone dialog box, click Enable for Active Scripting in the Scripting section.
  5. Click the Back button to return to the previous page, and then click the Refresh button to run scripts.

Chrome

  1. In the Chrome address bar, type chrome://settings/content/javascript.
  2. Adjust the toggle so that javascript is allowed.
  3. Close the Settings tab and Refresh the page.

 

Poster Session

POSTER SESSION - SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT

The Federation of Medical Women of Canada (FMWC) is now accepting abstract submissions for in-person poster presentations during our annual general meeting and educational conference taking place September 27 to 28, 2025 at the OMNI King Edward hotel in Toronto, Ontario.

Who is Eligible:

·       Medical students, resident physicians and physicians (in practice/retired) who are currently members of the Federation of Medical Women of Canada (FMWC) or Medical Women’s International Association (MWIA). Submissions will NOT be considered if the submitting author is not a member of the FMWC or MWIA. (To join FMWC, go to fmwc.ca).

Submission Deadline:

·       Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM EDT 

·       Note: Authors will be informed of abstract status by Thursday, August 14, 2025

Winning Posters:

·       The judging committee will select three winning posters, one from each category (medical student, resident physician, physician). The winners will be recognized in front of all delegates during the conference.

If your abstract is selected, you will be invited to display your poster at the conference on both meeting days. On Sunday, September 28, 2025, during the morning break period, you will present your poster and answer questions.

The theme of this year's conference is Women Physicians Empowering for Change.

We encourage poster topics related to this year's conference theme as well as research related to:

· Physician leadership

· Gender-inclusive health care

· Physician health and wellness

· Women, peace, and security

· Women's cardiovascular health

· Health equity

· Equity, diversity, and inclusion

· Women's sexual and reproductive health

· Women's health issues

Please note that you will be responsible for your own meeting registration and travel costs.

This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your work at a national level and to network with physicians from across the country in all career stages.
