Take a Walk on the Art-side

Join Strong Interpretation for a feast of the senses as we explore YK artists who use palettes of paint, stone, glass, beads, quills, moose hair and willow and the muses that inspire them. The tour starts in “New Town” to view the great works of public art that portray our people, landscapes, and activities. From there, we proceed into the “Old Town” to soak up some history, discover random acts of creation and contemplate the meeting of culture under the Northern Sky.

Great Slave Lake Boat Tour & Fish Fry
10:30am – 2:00pm

This 3 1/2 hour guided harbour tour allows guests to experience Great Slave Lake. This freshwater lake is the 11th largest lake in the world (roughly the same size as Belgium). Not only is it the largest lake in North America but it is also the deepest reaching a maximum of more than 615 metres – making it deep enough to drown the CN Tower.
On this tour, you will learn all about the unique houseboat community, and other sightseeing highlights. The Great Slave Lake shoreline is home to more than half the Northwest Territories’ population. The tour will include a shore lunch fish fry* consisting of white fish!

Golf and Lunch
11:30am – 12:30pm tee off

Golf in Yellowknife is unlike anywhere else in Canada. A mainly sand 18-hole course, surrounded by trees and lakes. There is no grass and what is green is astro turf. This golf course will definitely be a challenge, but guaranteed fun! This package includes transportation, northern themed bag lunch, green fees, power-carts, club rentals, and a 2x2 piece of artificial turf for teeing off.

There are reports of ravens stealing balls and visits by the occasional black bear over the years. No golfers have been lost to date.
