Bio
Sami Chadi is the chief of colorectal surgery in the division of surgical oncology at University Health Network and Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Toronto and the Lead for Gastrointestinal malignancies for Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. His clinical interests are in the areas of minimally invasive approaches to locally advanced colon and rectal malignancies with research interests in optimizing the schedule of neoadjuvant and adjuvant therapies in colon and rectal cancer, as well as enhancing the patient surgical experience. He and his team have recently initiated a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gastrointestinal Oncology with a focus on robotic abdominal and natural orifice techniques.
Dr. Karineh Kazazian

Bio
Dr. Karineh Kazazian is a surgical oncologist at the University Health Network and Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. Her clinical focus is on the management of colorectal and gastric cancers using minimally invasive and robotics techniques. Dr. Kazazian completed her residency training in General Surgery and fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the University of Toronto. She subsequently pursued an advanced MIS/robotic colorectal oncology fellowship at UHN. She holds a PhD in cancer biology from the Institute of Medical Sciences, and her academic interests center on translational research into mechanisms of gastric and colorectal tumour progression and treatment resistance. She has a secondary interest in quality in cancer surgery to improve equity in patient care.
Dr. Peter Stotland

Bio
Dr. Peter Stotland is a surgical oncologist at North York General Hospital and serves as the Chief of Surgery and Co-Medical Director of the Surgical Program. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto and currently is the Quality Lead for the Surgical Oncology Program at Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario). His clinical practice is focused on the treatment of the gastrointestinal malignancies and implementation of minimally invasive techniques. His academic interest is focused on resident teaching and mentorship and he serves as the assistant program director for the general surgery residency training program at the University of Toronto. He has been recognized with several major teaching awards in recognition of his teaching performance, including the Integrated Medical Education Award for Excellence in Community‐Based Teaching, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto and The Robert Mustard Mustard Mentorship Division of General Surgery, University of Toronto.
