  1. In the Chrome address bar, type chrome://settings/content/javascript.

We are pleased to announce that we will once again be holding a Call for Abstracts for our upcoming 2020 Traumatic Brain Injury Conference. An invitation for abstracts will be extended to all researchers, physicians, clinicians, nurses and administrators who practice in the Traumatic Brain Injury environment.

Submission Guidelines

Step 1: Add Primary Author

  • First and Last Name
  • Title/Position
  • Credentials (e.g. B.Sc)
  • Organization/Affiliation
  • Mailing address with postal code
  • Phone number
  • Email
  • Biography (max 150 words)

Step 2: Add Additional Authors

  • First and Last Name
  • Credentials (e.g. B.Sc)
  • Organization
  • Email

Step 3: Abstract Title

Use a title that accurately reflects the content of your poster/presentation. (max 255 characters)

Step 4: Abstract Theme

Please select one of the following options

  • Mild TBI / Concussions
  • Mild – Moderate Brain Injury
  • Moderate – Severe Brain Injury

Step 5: Topic of Interest

Please select all that apply to your abstract

  • Best Practices
  • Innovation Profession Specific -Occupational Therapy
  • Innovation Profession Specific - Physical Therapy
  • Innovation Profession Specific - Speech Language Pathology
  • Neuropsychology
  • Clinical Interventions
  • Clinical Research

Step 6: Presentation Format

Indicate whether you are submitting for a poster or rapid podium presentation. You may select both options. Note that choices cannot be guaranteed.

  • Rapid podium presentations

These presentations are unique, 5-minute presentations given to all conference delegates on your initiative or research with a focus on the key ‘take-away’ messages for the audience. In addition, following all the presentations there will be time allotted for audience members to ask questions of presenters.

  • Poster presentations

Poster must not exceed 3 feet x 6 feet and must be horizontal. More details will be provided to those that are accepted.

Step 7: Abstract Details

  • Purpose of Project (max 250 characters)
  • Implementation/Methodology (max 625 characters)
  • Summary of Findings (max 450 characters)
  • Implications for the Patient Population (max 375 characters)
  • How it Contributes to Rehab Practice (max 375 characters)

Step 8: Consent to post presentation on web site

Should your abstract be accepted at the conference for a Rapid Podium Presentation, do you consent to having your slides or a modified version (to address copyright and future publication issues) available on the conference web site? YES or NO

Should your abstract be accepted at the conference for a Poster Presentation, do you consent to having your abstract made available on the conference web site? YES or NO

Step 9: Read though the following additional information

Attendance and Expenses
At least one of the authors must be a paid registrant at the conference. Any author who wishes to attend or present must be a paid registrant.

Abstract authors are responsible for all expenses associated with creating and delivering your presentation, registration costs and any travel expenses.

Notification of Acceptance and Sharing of Materials
Those who have been selected for the 2020 Traumatic Brain Injury Conference will be notified by email with further details. Accepted abstracts will be featured on the conference website and/or in the program book provided to all delegates. An electronic version of your presentation and/or handouts will be shared on the conference website with your consent.

Marketing of Products
The marketing of products through the 2020 Traumatic Brain Injury Conference is prohibited.

Click submit and a confirmation screen will appear. The primary author will also receive a confirmation email.
