Romanowski Lecture & Luncheon

Professor Catherine Mulligan FRSC, the 2024 recipient of the RSC’sMiroslaw RomanowskiMedalfor scientific work relating to environmental problemswill deliver this year’s luncheon lecture titled, “The geoenvironment: Why it is important and what can we do to protect it.“
Catherine Mulligan is an internationally recognized expert in the decontamination of water, soils, and sediments, and a pioneer of green remediation technologies. She is the founding Director of the Concordia Institute of Water, Energy and Sustainable Systems. Her fundamental and applied contributions to research and her service to the engineering profession have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Fellowship of the Royal Society of Canada.
