Abstract Submission Guidelines Submit Abstract
- The submission period will run from March 2 to May 1, 2026.
- Abstracts must be submitted using the online Abstract Submission System and by midnight on May 1, 2026.
- If selected for inclusion in the program, the primary abstract author must be one of the conference presenters.
- All presenters are expected to register for the conference and are responsible for their registration fees. Registration will be open in June 2026.
- Final selection of presentations will be determined based on the submissions that in the committee’s opinion best integrate with the conference themes.
- Abstracts which are accepted will be included in the Conference Delegate handbook and on the ABI website. Your acceptance gives the ABI Network permission to publish the abstracts in the handbook and on the website.
- While beginner-level topics are not discouraged, please be advised that in deciding, if all other criteria are equal, consideration may be given to the abstract with more advanced content.

Presentation Formats:
Abstracts may be submitted for consideration for concurrent sessions & rapid podium presentations.
- Concurrent Sessions: A concurrent session will be allocated a total of 45 minutes. Presenters who plan to include a question period must do so within the allocated time.
- Rapid Podium Presentations: Rapid podium presentations should be delivered by 1 (maximum 2) presenters within an 8 minute period. A total of six Rapid Podium presentations will be allocated. Presentation content should include a brief introduction, the key problem(s)/issue(s) to be addressed, findings to date and overall learnings. A brief question and answer period will be held for all presenters after the final presentation.

Evaluation Criteria
Abstract submissions are evaluated based on relevance to diverse conference attendees including a range of service providers, survivors and family members.
Presentations that capture creative approaches, stimulate innovation and provide practical applications are preferred.
