Firefox

  1. In the FireFox address bar, type about:config.

Internet Explorer

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, then click the Security tab.
  2. Click the Internet Zone.
  3. If you do not have to customize your Internet security settings, click Default Level. Then do step 4.
  4. If you have to customize your Internet security settings, follow these steps:
    a. Click Custom Level.
    b. In the Security Settings - Internet Zone dialog box, click Enable for Active Scripting in the Scripting section.
  5. Click the Back button to return to the previous page, and then click the Refresh button to run scripts.

Chrome

  1. In the Chrome address bar, type chrome://settings/content/javascript.
  2. Adjust the toggle so that javascript is allowed.
  3. Close the Settings tab and Refresh the page.

Amir Khoshbin

Dr. Amir Khoshbin

MD MSc FRCSC

Dr. Amir Khoshbin is an orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty expertise in adult hip and knee reconstruction and trauma. His clinical practice focuses on primary and complex revision joint arthroplasty, Direct Anterior Approach (DAA) hip replacement, and the management of complex lower extremity trauma including pelvis and acetabulum fractures.

Dr. Khoshbin completed both his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Toronto, followed by orthopaedic surgery residency training at the same institution. During residency, he was enrolled in the Surgeon Scientist Program and obtained a Master of Science degree in Clinical Epidemiology.

He subsequently pursued advanced fellowship training in orthopaedic trauma at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston through the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA). He then completed a second fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.

Dr. Khoshbin currently serves as the Division Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at St. Michael’s Hospital and holds the inaugural Agnico Eagle Chair in Joint Arthroplasty. He is the 2025 Chair of Research for the Canadian Arthroplasty Society.

Dr. Jesse Wolfstadt received his MD from the University of Toronto in 2011, completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at U of T in 2016, and graduated in 2017 with a Master’s Degree in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at the Institute for Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation (IHPME). He completed fellowships in complex adult lower extremity reconstruction (Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, Canada), traumatology and arthroplasty (St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto, Canada), and traumatology (Auckland City Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand). His clinical focus is on complex primary and revision total knee replacement and partial knee replacement and his research interests include periprosthetic joint infection, periprosthetic fractures about the knee, and outpatient total joint replacement.

Michael Zywiel

After finishing his medical education at the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow, Poland, Michael completed a clinical research fellowship in Baltimore, Maryland under the mentorship of Michael A. Mont. He then returned to his hometown of Toronto and joined the UofT orthopaedic residency program. While a resident, he participated in the Surgeon Scientist Program and completed his Masters of Science degree in Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto.

After finishing his residency in 2016, Michael went south to Austin, Texas, where he was the inaugural Joseph Miles Abell Jr. Fellow in Arthroplasty and Value-Based Health Care Delivery at the Dell Medical School. He then returned to Toronto and recently completed a six-month fellowship in Lower Extremity Reconstruction and Trauma at St Michael’s Hospital.

Dr. Zywiel is currently an Assistant Professor and Surgeon Investigator at the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Toronto Western Hospital, University Health Network, with clinical interest in hip and knee pain, surgical interest in hip and knee replacement, and academic interests in health services, outcomes, and health care economics research.
