Firefox

  1. In the FireFox address bar, type about:config.
  2. Look for the javascript.enabled setting.
  3. Set it to true by right-clicking and pressing toggle.

Internet Explorer

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, then click the Security tab.
  2. Click the Internet Zone.
  3. If you do not have to customize your Internet security settings, click Default Level. Then do step 4.
  4. If you have to customize your Internet security settings, follow these steps:
    a. Click Custom Level.
    b. In the Security Settings - Internet Zone dialog box, click Enable for Active Scripting in the Scripting section.
  5. Click the Back button to return to the previous page, and then click the Refresh button to run scripts.

Chrome

  1. In the Chrome address bar, type chrome://settings/content/javascript.
  2. Adjust the toggle so that javascript is allowed.
  3. Close the Settings tab and Refresh the page.

 

Guest Faculty

Jessica Donington, MD MSCR

Dr. Donington obtained her bachelor degree from the University of Michigan and her medical degree from Rush University. She completed general surgery training at Georgetown University, cardiothoracic training at the Mayo Clinic, and a surgical oncology fellowship in the Surgical Branch of the NCI. She was on faculty at Stanford and NYU prior to accepting her current position at the University of Chicago in 2018. Her clinical focus is on diagnosis and treatment of non-small cell lung cancer, including multimodality therapy and options for medically high risk patients. She is the surgical chair for the thoracic section of NRG Oncology.

Felix G. Fernandez, MD MSc

Felix G. Fernandez MD MSc is an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Section of Thoracic Surgery, Emory University School of Medicine. He also serves as Chief in the Section of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Atlanta VA Medical Center. He specializes in thoracic oncology and lung transplantation, and is affiliated with both the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University and the Emory Transplant Center. In 2010, Dr. Fernandez established a minimally invasive thoracic surgery program at the Atlanta VA Medical Center and was an essential contributor to Emory reaching its 300th lung transplant milestone in September 2010.

Konrad Hoetzenecker, MD PhD

Konrad Hoetzenecker, MD PhD is a member of the surgical faculty of the Department of Thoracic Surgery, Medical University of Vienna, and the Director of the Vienna Lung Transplant Program. Besides lung transplantation he is specialized in airway surgery and extended thoracic procedures. Dr Hoetzenecker has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and reviews and is an editorial board member of the Journal of Thoracic Disease, the American Journal of Transplantation and the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. Dr Hoetzenecker has been awarded several prizes and grants including the Graham Memorial Traveling Fellowship from the American Association of Thoracic Surgery.

Brendon Stiles, MD

Dr. Brendon Stiles is Professor and Chief, Thoracic Surgery and Surgical Oncology at the Montefiore Health System and the Associate Director of Surgical Oncology for the Albert Einstein Cancer Center. Dr. Stiles’ expertise is in minimally invasive, targeted surgical management of lung cancer, neoadjuvant trials, and in translational lung cancer research. He is the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Lung Cancer Research Foundation, a member of the Lung-RADS Steering Committee, and the AATS Foundation Advisory Council. Dr. Stiles is also an active advocate for lung cancer research and for patients on social media (@BrendonStilesMD).
