A three course meal will be served throughout the evening.
The 2026 University of Toronto Summer CME Evening will focus on chemotherapy induced lung disease and the latest in asthma research. The program will update the knowledge of physicians involved in the assessment, testing and treatment of patients with asthma and chemotherapy induced lung disease. Emphasis will be placed on audience participation.

Dr. Shane Shapera MD, FRCPC Lung disease in the Oncologic Patient: Shifting Paradigms After the session Lung disease in the Oncologic Patient: Shifting Paradigms, participants will be able to review clinical pearls in the management of specific drug-induced pneumonitides, explore treatment options for severe checkpoint inhibitor pneumonitis, consider important uncommon causes of dyspnea and CT abnormalities in cancer patients, and prepare for the unique therapeutic challenges that are anticipated with upcoming anti-body drug conjugate (ADC) therapies for cancer. |

Dr. Matthew Stanbrook MD, FRCP Asthma-Related Research – Key Papers from the Last Twelve Months After the session on Asthma research, participants will be able to cite/name the most important clinical research in asthma over the past twelve months. Participants will be able to apply potential new therapies for the treatment of asthma. Participants will be able to integrate this new information into their management approach of asthma patients. |
