On behalf of Drs. Aristotelis Kalyvas and Paul Kongkham, the Temerty Advanced Surgical Education and Simulation Centre invites you to join us for the NeuroConnect 2025 taking place September 27- 29, 2025 in Toronto, ON Canada.
During this 2.5-day course, participants will explore the trajectory, morphology, and functional anatomy of major white matter tracts, cortical structures and subcortical brain connectivity through hands-on white matter dissection labs, DTI-based tractography session, and interactive lectures. Additionally, participants will be introduced to brain mapping techniques, fMRI, neuroanesthesia and neuropsychological considerations.
Faculty and participants will debate and discuss how these modalities can be incorporated into the armamentarium of the modern surgical neuro-oncologist and how they can benefit the modern neurologist, neuroradiologist and neuropsychologist.
Topic areas include:
- Surgical and radiological anatomy of the cerebral sulci and gyri
- Cadaveric and tractographic anatomy of the white matter tracts
- Surgical anatomy and principles of neurosurgical approaches applied to intra-axial tumor surgery
- Surgical management of gliomas
- Intra-operative brain mapping
- Pre-operative brain mapping
- DTI-based and TMS-based Tractography
- Learning the Klingler’s Technique with hands-on training in cadavers/brain hemispheres
- Hands-on training in DTI-based tractography software
