Vittoria was previously the Executive Director of the Industrial Power Consumers Association of Alberta and worked in renewable energy procurement at both the Ontario Ministry of Energy and the Ontario Power Authority (now the IESO). Vittoria served on the Board of Emissions Reduction Alberta, as Vice Chair of Energy Efficiency Alberta, and was a founding Board member of Women+Power. She holds a M.Sc. in Environmental Sustainability from the University of Edinburgh and is a licensed professional engineer (B.Sc. Queen’s University). Vittoria is based in Calgary.

James Brooks is Managing Director and Global Co-Head of the Energy, Infrastructure and Transition (EIT) investment banking team with over 100 professionals located across the Americas and Europe. The award-winning group offers full coverage of all infrastructure and energy asset classes across the capital stack for a wide range of market participants. James’ primary coverage universe is North American and global power, renewables and utility firms as well as energy and infrastructure private equity firms. He leads efforts in the renewable energy sector which have culminated in #1 market share in the Canadian market, a top 5 position in North America and an active presence in Europe, LatAm, Australia and Asia.
James has advised on over $50 billion in announced M&A and advisory transactions across the renewables, power, utilities, nuclear and energy infrastructure sectors on three continents. Advisory work includes over 15 GW of completed M&A transactions in the power and renewable energy sector as well as several large-scale $1b+ development and operating platforms in North America and innovative capital raising activities in both the public and private markets. He has also acted as an active bookrunner on over 40 capital markets financings raising nearly $20 billion in capital including several IPOs, acquisition-related and $1 billion+ financings.
James was the lead contributor in establishing CIBC’s flagship $150 billion environmental and sustainable finance program (initially announced in September 2019) including program conception, design and development of the inaugural reporting taxonomy. Program was subsequently increased to $300 billion in August 2021.
James holds an HBA from the Ivey School of Business at Western University and is a CFA Charterholder.

Mike Conrad has over 15 years of experience in the infrastructure and energy industries, including roles in investment banking, direct infrastructure / power investing, and operations across the U.S., Canada, and Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Pattern, Mike was most recently a Managing Director in the Sustainable Energies Group of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, where he focused on investment origination and asset management in the North American power sector. In that role, he helped lead the take-private of Pattern Energy, and sat on the Board.
Mike currently serves as Chief of Staff, and interim Head of Asset Management (ex-New Mexico). His responsibilities include oversight of key asset optimization activities, including the repowering of Pattern's New Mexico assets, as well as helping to advance Pattern's Canadian development efforts.
While Mike is originally from the U.S., he has lived full-time in Canada since his time at McGill University, where he received a dual degree in Finance and Marketing. Mike currently resides in Toronto, Ontario.

Stephen has worked in renewable energy for almost 20 years. Originally focused on project development, he led the development and closing of several utility-scale wind projects for RES across Canada. Stephen then spent 3 years in Santiago Chile, opening RES’ first office in South America, before returning to Canada to lead RES’ involvement in the Wataynikaneyap project, a $1.9B remote transmission line project, in partnership with 22 First Nation communities.
Now dedicated to origination, financing, and transactions, Stephen is focused on strategic partnerships, RES’ M&A activities, and the Canadian utility and C&I markets. He leads RES Canada's Origination and Transactions team and is responsible for RES Canada’s commercial and PPA contract negotiations.
Stephen plays a key role in managing RES’ investor relations, leading asset sale processes and joint-venture bid partnerships, and initiating and managing the associated partnership and entity structuring.
Stephen is a registered Professional Mechanical Engineer, holds a Project Management Professional certification, speaks English, French and Spanish, and lives in Montreal, Canada.

From 2018 to 2024, Mike was President & Chief Executive Officer of Northland Power Inc., a listed global independent power producer with over 5GWs of operating and in construction assets in Europe, Asia and the Americas. As President & CEO, he re-structured the company from a largely Canadian company with a founding shareholder to a global widely held company, substantially growing its cashflow and development pipeline. Prior to that Mike served as Executive Vice-President Development.
Previously, Mike was CEO of AIM PowerGen (“AIM”), where he led the company from initial concept to one of the largest independent renewable power developers in Canada at the time. After AIM’s sale to Engie (formerly GDF Suez), Mike continued as the President of GDF Suez Canada.
Over the past two decades, he has raised and deployed over $25B CAD into power sector assets.
Currently, Mike is the Executive Chair of Creative Energy, a North American district energy company as well as serving on the Boards of Innergex, Steel Reef Infrastructure and Estruxture Data Centres.
From 2015 to 2023, Mike served on the Advisory Board of Instar Asset Management, a mid market, North American infrastructure fund. He has also served on the Boards of the Association of Power Producers of Ontario, Clean Energy BC, Canadian Solar Industry Association and was the Chairman of the Ontario Energy Association’s Board. Mike began his private sector career with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.

Frank manages Pattern’s Canadian business development activities, including project origination, government and stakeholder relations, Indigenous partnerships, and project financing. He has also served on the Board of the Canadian Renewable Energy Association (CanREA) and is a former director of Public Health Ontario. Originally from Newfoundland & Labrador, Frank now resides in Toronto, where he continues to build partnerships and champion renewable energy opportunities that deliver long-term value for communities and Canada’s energy future.

With more than 20 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, he has contributed to the development of more than 2 gigawatts of contracted and commercialized projects. Stephane also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Alliance for Clean Energy New York (ACE NY) and President of the Board of Directors of the Québec Association for the Production of Renewable Energy (AQPER). Barbara Ellard is the Director of Resource and System Adequacy at the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO). In this role, she is responsible for procuring and acquiring reliability services and incenting investment in new and existing supply resources. Barbara is leading the development and execution of a number of competitive procurements, such as the medium-term and long-term Request for Proposals. In addition, Barbara has responsibility over the IESO’s Capacity Auction and Ancillary Services contract portfolio. In her previous role as Director of Markets & Procurement, she was responsible for assessing and evolving Ontario’s electricity markets, developing new market mechanisms and procurement options to help manage system needs. Barbara played an important leadership role in initiating and developing the high-level designs for the IESO’s Market Renewal Program. Prior to her roles at the IESO, Barbara was Director of Policy & Analysis at the Ontario Power Authority (OPA), where she was responsible for dealing with a variety of strategic and policy issues that affect supply procurements and contracted resources. In addition, she was responsible for a number of support programs that enabled community and indigenous involvement in renewable energy and transmission projects. Additionally, Barbara managed a number of energy supply procurements while at the OPA and also in a prior role at the Ministry of Energy. Barbara graduated from the University of Toronto, where she earned both a Master of Arts and an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree. Barbara is fluent in English, German and Spanish.

Prior to joining CanREA, he was Senior Advisor, Public & Government Affairs at the Association québécoise des pharmaciens propriétaires for two years, and the MNA for Sainte-Rose (Laval) for four years before that. Jean holds a BBA from HEC Montréal and is a CPA.

Prior to joining CanREA in 2022, he led business development efforts at Forward Summit, a company dedicated to improving Indigenous economic opportunities across Canada. Kelly can often be found outdoors, playing sports, or volunteering wherever his skills are needed.

Sabrina Harbec is the Head of Corporate Relations – North America at Nordex, where she leads government relations, Indigenous community relations, communications, public policy, strategic partnerships, and stakeholder engagement to strengthen the company’s presence in the renewable energy sector across Canada and the United States. Based in Montréal, she works closely with federal, provincial, state and key actors across the renewable energy ecosystem to advance inclusive, community‑centered, and economically viable clean energy development.
Before joining Nordex, Ms. Harbec held several senior leadership roles at Hydro‑Québec (2020–2025), including Director – Business Clients and Energy Solutions. In this capacity, she led the development of integrated energy‑transition offerings, oversaw commercial programs, guided communications related to key initiatives, managed regulatory affairs, and supported major industrial and public‑sector stakeholders in meeting their decarbonization objectives.
She previously spent nearly a decade at ArcelorMittal Exploration minière Canada, where she held key roles in strategic procurement and energy strategy. Her work included carbon‑market policy management, community‑focused business development, and extensive engagement with Indigenous communities to support long‑term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
Ms. Harbec holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Economics from St. Lawrence University (New York), a graduate diploma (D.E.S.S.) in Management – Sustainable Development from HEC Montréal, and an Executive MBA from the University of Sherbrooke. A former elite athlete, she competed for six years with the Canadian National Women’s Ice Hockey Team and is a three‑time NCAA All‑American.

Valerie Helbronner is a partner in Torys’ Infrastructure and Energy group, and co-head of the firm’s Indigenous practice. Valerie has been at the forefront of the development and financing of renewable energy projects across Canada. She worked on some of the earliest and most innovative renewable projects, including Erie Shores Wind Farm, Grand Renewables Solar and Henvey Inlet Wind Farm, as well as PPAs in connection with Emera’s proposed Atlantic Link Project. Trusted counsel to Indigenous and non-Indigenous project participants, Valerie advises on complex infrastructure projects impacting Indigenous interests and parties. James is a member of Walpole Island First Nation, where he has previously served as Chief Executive Officer. James led the development of First Nation equity participation in two 100MW wind farms. These and similar experiences led James to become a champion of Indigenous community and business partnerships in clean energy. James holds an M.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, and he is a former municipal clerk. He has also spent time running a consulting business, Ajijaak Solutions, which provided governance and management support for First Nations and businesses. James is a sessional instructor at Western University’s Public Administration Program. He is a proud father, a multi-instrumentalist, and an avid outdoorsman.

Rachelle currently leads labour compliance advisory for 500 MW of projects across Canada under the Clean Technology ITC. She has supported renewable energy developers in submitting over 9.1 GW of project bids across Canada and the U.S. Northeast, including Ontario, B.C., New York, and New England. Her previous experience includes serving as a lead Domestic Content compliance auditing consultant on several renewable portfolios in Ontario.

Imran was previously the co-founder of Peak Power, scaling the company across North America and mobilizing $1.4B in funding and project financing to advance renewables with storage. He held senior roles at the Ozz Group of Companies and in the public sector, giving him perspective across utilities, government and developers. Imran holds an MBA and an LLM in energy and infrastructure law.

He was a long-standing member of the Treasury Board and chaired the Ministerial Working Group on Regulatory Efficiency and Clean Growth.

Radha previously worked for the Government of Alberta’s Ministry of Environment and Parks and Climate Change Office, including as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Minister. She has also worked for the City of Toronto, the Government of Canada, and the Government of Ontario. Radha holds a Masters of urban planning from the University of Toronto. Outside of work, she volunteers with Alberta ACTS, an Indian classical arts organization she co-founded.

His practice focuses on commercial aspects of the electricity sector, specializing in procurement, development, finance, construction and M&A matters relating to electricity generation, storage, distribution and transmission assets, as well as commercial contracting across a broad range of clean energy-related products, commodities and services.
Jacob has acted as procurement counsel to Ontario's IESO (and its predecessor Ontario Power Authority) on a wide range of competitive procurements and standard offer programs for long-term and medium-term electricity resources since 2004.

He has approximately 10 years of experience across renewable and sustainable infrastructure assets, including solar PV, battery energy storage, geothermal, district energy, and energy‑as‑a‑service platforms. In his role at VCIB, Dan works closely with developers, municipalities, Indigenous partners, and institutional counterparties to design and underwrite project finance and corporate lending structures that support the deployment and scaling of climate solutions.

As VP, Grid Solutions at Enwave Energy Corporation – Canada’s largest core competency district energy company – Katherine’s focus is on developing clean electricity solutions for Enwave’s utility and real property customers that support their needs for reliable, affordable, sustainable energy, and that complement Enwave’s well-established thermal energy services. Katherine also leads Enwave’s Government Relations efforts with a focus on creating policy and regulatory environments that are conducive to new clean energy opportunities for Enwave and partners across Canada.
Katherine has over 20 years of experience in the Canadian energy sector – including previously serving as the Ontario IESO’s Director, Innovation, Research & Development. During her time at the IESO, Katherine led the design and delivery of some North America’s most cost-effective, reliable and innovative energy efficiency programs. She also led the development of North America’s first local energy market and championed the integration of storage, hybrids and distributed energy resources into Ontario’s electricity system. An urban planner by training, Katherine is an experienced corporate director, having previously served on the board of Enerquality Corporation and currently serving on the board of Energy Storage Canada.
Katherine is an occasional instructor in the Master of Law, Energy & Infrastructure program at Osgoode Hall, a member of the Clean 50 and is honoured to serve as a mentor in the Women in Energy Canada’s mentorship program. In her personal time Katherine likes to run, downhill ski and spend time outdoors with her husband and three adventurous kids.

Jean Trudel joined Innergex in 2002 and has served as President and Chief Executive Officer since March 2026. From 2022 to 2026, he served as Chief Financial Officer, where he oversaw the treasury, finance, investor relations, accounting, as well as information technology and operations teams. Since joining Innergex in 2002, he has played a key role in shaping the company's financial strategy and development, previously serving as Chief Investment and Development Officer from 2015 to 2022. In this role, he led M&A, capital structure optimization, and project development across all markets.
Prior to joining Innergex, Mr. Trudel worked for Sun Life Insurance Company of Canada (formerly Clarica) from 1999 to 2002 as Director, Investment Project Financing for Quebec and Atlantic Canada. Prior to that, Mr. Trudel spent three years as a member of the Corporate Banking Group at Bank of Nova Scotia.
Mr. Trudel holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) degree from HEC Montréal (1993) and a Master of Business Administration degree from Queen’s University (1996).

George Vegh advises governments, regulators, boards, and investors on high-stakes energy and infrastructure decisions, particularly where regulatory independence, political pressure, and institutional design intersect. He is the former Chair of the Canada Energy Regulator, where he led Canada’s national energy regulator during a period of heightened scrutiny driven by the energy transition, Indigenous reconciliation, and expanding regulatory mandates. His responsibilities included institutional governance, adjudicative decision-making, and stewardship of regulatory credibility in contested environments.
George previously served as General Counsel of the Ontario Energy Board and practiced energy regulatory law for more than two decades, including as co-leader of a national energy regulatory practice. His experience spans electricity and natural gas markets, infrastructure development, and regulatory reform.
He is a Senior Fellow at the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy and Program Director of the Masters’ Program in Energy and Infrastructure Law at Osgoode Hall Law School, where he teaches energy policy, regulation, and institutional governance. He is widely published and frequently called upon to provide expert testimony and international advisory support on regulatory reform.

Over the course of Iain’s 25+ year career in investment banking, he has advised clients on a variety of notable strategic transactions across the broader clean energy sector and led financing initiatives for many established Canadian issuers in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Prior to joining Marathon Capital, Iain held various roles at Canadian and European banks in Calgary and New York City.
