Dear colleagues,

We are delighted to announce the launch of the new UHN Collaborative Centre for Immunology to Immunotherapy (Ci2i). Join us on June 12, 2025, at the iconic MaRS Centre in downtown Toronto for the inaugural Ci2i Launch Symposium. This landmark event will bring together clinicians and scientists from UHN and the University of Toronto with the purpose of accelerating clinical and research collaborations that accelerate the translation of immunotherapy approaches across a broad range of disease types including cancer, autoimmunity, transplantation, regenerative medicine, and beyond.

The Ci2i Launch Symposium program scope will encompass:

  • Cell and gene therapies
  • The microbiome and disease
  • Immune therapies and therapies for inflammatory disease
  • Immunogenomics, science and profiling

Our program will feature prominent Canadian and international speakers, offering exceptional opportunities for networking, collaboration, and learning across disciplines.

OUR MISSION

Ci2i’s mission is to foster UHN-led, investigator-initiated clinical trials that can enhance our understanding of the impact and interconnected nature of the immune system and disease. We aim to advance in-depth immunogenomic profiling and collaborative immunology research across various diseases, leading to more effective immunotherapies and biomarker discovery with the goal to improve patient outcomes.

Translating scientific discoveries into life-saving treatments, Ci2i is committed to revolutionize immunology and immunotherapy research by bringing together experts across disciplines to accelerate innovation.

We sincerely thank the Chair of the Planning Committee Dr. Tracy McGaha for organizing the Ci2i Launch Symposium.

We look forward to seeing you in downtown Toronto!

Warm regards,

On behalf of the Ci2i Chairs,
Drs. Naoto Hirano, Robert Inman, and Pam Ohashi
