Building for Tomorrow Today

Building upon recent years of unprecedented growth in government and public support, the Canadian nuclear industry is breaking ground, expanding manufacturing facilities, pouring concrete, and starting to build the next generation of our country’s nuclear fleet. CNA2025 will move beyond discussing high-level targets and goals to focus on practical and immediate solutions of how to turn ambition, on both large and small nuclear, into reality. This is set to be the largest and most important CNA conference ever, featuring both high-level and technical programming spread across multiple stages.

Presenters, panelists, and guest speakers will address a range of opportunities and challenges for the sector, with a particular focus on:

  • Highlighting Canada’s strength in building on time and on budget through integrated project delivery, strategic project management, and digital innovations.
  • Taking full advantage of Canada’s position as a first mover in the production and deployment of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) for electricity and heat production, including a dedicated stage for topics and issues around SMRs.
  • Fostering collaboration and cooperation for the development of new nuclear between provinces, territories, the federal government, Indigenous nations and communities, international partners and allies, and potential new customers for nuclear including heavy industry and AI.
  • Establishing the practical foundations for nuclear in new regions, addressing issues of regulation, certification, and public engagement.
