Firefox

  1. In the FireFox address bar, type about:config.

Internet Explorer

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, then click the Security tab.
  2. Click the Internet Zone.
  3. If you do not have to customize your Internet security settings, click Default Level. Then do step 4.
  4. If you have to customize your Internet security settings, follow these steps:
    a. Click Custom Level.
    b. In the Security Settings - Internet Zone dialog box, click Enable for Active Scripting in the Scripting section.
  5. Click the Back button to return to the previous page, and then click the Refresh button to run scripts.

Chrome

  1. In the Chrome address bar, type chrome://settings/content/javascript.
  2. Adjust the toggle so that javascript is allowed.
  3. Close the Settings tab and Refresh the page.

 

Air Travel Information
Three major airports serve the Washington, DC area: Ronald Reagan Washington National (DCA), Dulles International (IAD), and Baltimore/Washington International (BWI). The most convenient airport to the meeting location is Reagan National‚ located approximately four miles from the meeting hotel, the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel. Dulles airport is located approximately 27 miles from the hotel and BWI airport is located approximately 32 miles from the hotel.

Train Travel Information
Amtrak
Amtrak service is available into Washington, DC via Union Station. Amtrak is a convenient option for many people who will be traveling from various points along the East Coast. To make Amtrak reservations, call (800) USA-RAIL or visit Amtrak.

MARC Train
MARC Train service also is available into Washington, DC via Union Station. Service areas include Harford County, Maryland; Baltimore City; Washington, DC; Brunswick, Maryland; Frederick, Maryland. Most MARC Train service operates Monday through Friday only. Weekend service is available on the Penn line only. Tickets can be purchased at Quik Trak machines, Amtrak Ticket Agents, Commuter Direct Ticket Agents or Online at Commuter Direct. For more information, visit the MARC Train website.

Metro
The Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel is accessible via Washington, DC's Metro system. The closest Metro stops are the Gallery Place/Chinatown station, which is accessible via the Red, Yellow, and Green lines; and the Metro Center station, accessible via the Red, Orange, Blue, and Silver lines. The Metro Rail System map is a great tool that can help you navigate your way through the DC Metro system. Use the trip planner on the Metro Rail website for detailed directions.

Taxi Information
Taxi stands are located near the baggage claims of all area airports and at the front entrance of Union Station. Approximate one-way fares to the hotel are as follows:

  • From Reagan National Airport (DCA) - $25
  • From Dulles International Airport (IAD) - $75
  • From Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) - $80
  • From Union Station - $10


Driving Directions

Please note that the hotel's main 9th Street entrance is undergoing a brief refresh and is closed. Guests should use the K Street entrance to access the hotel and for valet parking.


For guests who are driving to the hotel, the Colonial Parking Garage (connected to the hotel) will be accessible for self-parking, with the entrance ramp located on 7th Street between I and K Streets. They are unable to accommodate oversized vehicles for self-parking or valet such as large trucks and SUVs.
