Firefox

  1. In the FireFox address bar, type about:config.
  2. Look for the javascript.enabled setting.
  3. Set it to true by right-clicking and pressing toggle.

Internet Explorer

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, then click the Security tab.
  2. Click the Internet Zone.
  3. If you do not have to customize your Internet security settings, click Default Level. Then do step 4.
  4. If you have to customize your Internet security settings, follow these steps:
    a. Click Custom Level.
    b. In the Security Settings - Internet Zone dialog box, click Enable for Active Scripting in the Scripting section.
  5. Click the Back button to return to the previous page, and then click the Refresh button to run scripts.

Chrome

  1. In the Chrome address bar, type chrome://settings/content/javascript.
  2. Adjust the toggle so that javascript is allowed.
  3. Close the Settings tab and Refresh the page.

After several years in banking, he switched gears by taking on an overseas assignment with an international development agency in the not-for-profit sector in the Eastern Caribbean, then joined the Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions as Senior Project Consultant. Nigel returned to Canada and joined Assiniboine Credit Union in 2001, where he now leads a specialized team with knowledge and expertise in providing creative financing solutions for not-for-profits, co-ops and small businesses. The focus of his work is using finance to propel social impact, shape local economies and engage communities in exploring sustainable solutions.

    Giving and receiving feedback in a community setting

    -Applying effective communication skills to manage defensive responses.

    Raj Dhasi is the lead consultant at Turning Point Resolutions Inc. As a leading expert in conflict resolution, Raj has been providing invaluable intervention services to workplace organizations, school districts, families, and communities for over 20 years. Raj specializes in assessing and resolving complex multi-layer conflicts, with a keen attention to politics, race, privilege, and intersectionality. She brings a toolbox full of intervention approaches including mediation, leadership and communication coaching, group facilitation, training and restorative justice processes. In addition to working in private practice, Raj is also a faculty member at the Justice Institute of B.C., Centre for Conflict Resolution. Raj holds a specialized degree in Adult Education, a Master’s degree in Organizational Conflict Analysis and Management, is currently completing her Doctorate in Social Sciences. As a skilled practitioner Raj brings a blend of empathy, spirit, and strategic thinking to each and every client.

    Learn how maintenance helps protect your property and buildings - your co-op’s most important assets. You need skilled professionals to get the maintenance results you need, but members also play a critical role.

    This webinar will cover:
    -Examples of preventative and routine repair needs.
    -The importance of having clear maintenance policies.
    -Useful systems and tools including a maintenance calendar and work-order tracking .
    -A review of co-op and member responsibilities including emergency unit access.

    Cheryl Alsop has over 15 years of maintenance coordination experience, from daily repairs to large retrofit projects. Cheryl is a regular workshop facilitator on maintenance topics for the Co-operative Housing Federation of BC and lived in a housing co-op for more than 10 years.
