This workshop focuses on invisible barriers to member engagement and how the diversity of our neurotypes comes with strengths and challenges. We will explore communication styles and the importance of open and compassionate communication when working with others. Through discussion and activities, this workshop will help to reframe assumptions and share examples of accommodations that can be provided. The workshop facilitator will bring her lived experience with ADHD to offer real-life examples and demonstrate the challenges many members can face by having different capacities or by thinking differently.
