Affordable housing is increasingly scarce and losing it can be catastrophic. Former sector lawyer, Celia Chandler, will discuss why co-ops need to keep people housed, reminding participants of their human rights obligations, the challenges of presenting an eviction case, and the critical housing gap co-ops fill for vulnerable people. This workshop will offer opportunities for members, directors, and staff to work in groups to discuss strategies to prevent evictions for arrears or anti-social behaviour and maybe learn a few ones from Celia too!
