Description:

Digital health technologies are revolutionizing healthcare delivery, expanding access, and improving efficiency. However, successful implementation requires navigating key challenges such as digital infrastructure, regulatory frameworks, data privacy, and sustainability. This workshop will equip participants with the knowledge, strategies, and entrepreneurial mindset needed to leverage digital health innovations effectively. Drawing from real-world case studies, including AI-powered telemedicine and medical drones, this session will provide insights into scaling digital health solutions in diverse healthcare contexts, including remote and low-resource settings.

By the end of this workshop, participants will:

1. Understand key concepts in digital health technologies, including AI diagnostics, telemedicine, medical drones, and data-driven healthcare.

2. Learn implementation strategies for digital health solutions, focusing on accessibility, scalability, and sustainability.

3. Develop entrepreneurial skills in digital health, including business models, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory considerations.

4. Apply insights from case studies (e.g., MedAtlas, Rwanda's drone-based medical supply delivery) to design context-appropriate digital health solutions.

This interactive workshop will combine presentations, case study discussions, and group activities to ensure participants engage in hands-on problem-solving. Key methods include:

• Case study analysis: Real-world examples of digital health successes and challenges.

• Breakout discussions: Small-group brainstorming on local adaptation of digital health innovations.

• Entrepreneurship exercise: Participants will design a digital health business model using structured frameworks.

• Q&A and knowledge exchange: An open discussion on challenges, opportunities, and lessons learned from global digital health initiatives.

• Digital health technologies can transform healthcare delivery but require strategic planning and context-specific adaptation.

• Entrepreneurship in digital health is key to scaling solutions sustainably and ensuring long-term impact.

• Interdisciplinary collaboration is essential, integrating technology, healthcare, policy, and business expertise to drive successful digital health innovations.
