Event Description

The Canadian Association for Global Health (CAGH) is a member organization dedicated to advancing global health equity. Our mission is to connect, engage, and mobilize a strong global health community across Canada and internationally to support health equity.

We invite you to join us for the 31st Canadian Conference on Global Health (CCGH), CAGH's annual conference that brings together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, advocates, students, community mobilizers, and professionals from other disciplines and sectors within the global health community. The conference will address pressing global health issues and provide a platform for sharing knowledge, best practices, and innovations in global health research, policy, and practice.

The 2025 Conference is scheduled for October 24-28, 2025, at the Halifax Convention Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and Online. The conference will be hybrid. On October 24, there will be a virtual day with online sessions. Self-organized meetings and optional activities will be held on October 25 and the morning of October 26. In-person activities will begin at 12:30 PM ADT on October 26 and will be livestreamed for virtual participants.

Registration Options

Pricing is based on individual registration, and sharing registrations is not permitted. Our goal is to maximize the accessibility of CCGH for all, and we offer highly subsidized virtual tickets and reduced rates to participants from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), as well as to students and emerging professionals.

Cancellation and Substitution Policy

Please note that CAGH will not offer refunds for conference registrations.

If you are unable to attend the conference, you may designate someone to attend in your place. Requests must be made by the person registered and received by e-mail no later than Monday, October 20, 2025. No substitutions will be allowed after that date. You must submit requests for changes or substitutions in writing to conference@cagh-acsm.org.

Important: If you are a CAGH member and your replacement is a non-member, that individual must pay any difference in fees.

Photograph and Media Consent

By registering and participating in the Canadian Conference for Global Health (CCGH2025), you consent to the use of your image, voice, or likeness in photographs, videos, and other media taken during the event. These materials may be used for promotional, educational, or archival purposes, now and in the future, by the Canadian Association for Global Health and CCGH2025 organizers.

Harassment Policy for CCGH

The Canadian Conference for Global Health (CCGH2025) is committed to providing a harassment-free experience for all participants and expects everyone to treat others with respect, demonstrating the integrity expected of the global health profession. Harassment of any kind is not tolerated, and all reports of harassment will be reviewed and addressed promptly.

If you witness or experience harassment, please report it to us by contacting conference@cagh-acsm.org or speaking with any member of the CCGH2025 team in person.

Visa Invitation Letters

If you require a visa to attend CCGH 2025, please purchase a virtual ticket only! After you register, upload the following documents to the registration portal:

  1. Your passport as proof of citizenship
  2. Proof of employment with a Global Health entity (within the last 3 years) or confirmation of student status from an academic institution
  3. Letter of Support from your employer or institution to attend the conference

Once you submit the required documents and these are approved, the system will generate an automated invitation letter. Please allow 3-5 business days for your documents to be reviewed and approved.

After successfully securing your Canadian visa, return to the registration portal, upload a copy of your visa, and notify us by email. We will then upgrade your registration to in-person status, and you will need to pay the difference in the registration fee.

Refunds will not be issued if your visa application is denied or if your visa does not arrive on time.
