The Royal Canadian Geographical Society is proud to bring its Tastes and Sights dinner to the McDougall Centre in Calgary.
On November 13th, 2018, join the RCGS as we celebrate excellence in Canadian exploration, through a gala dinner with honoured guest Her Honour, Lois Mitchell, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta.
There you will be treated to a cocktail reception, featuring award-winning wine provided by Desert Hills Estate Winery and Ursa Major Estate Winery, followed by a three-course meal highlighting seasonal, Canadian cuisine.
Throughout the evening you will mix and mingle with MC David Gray, and some of Canada’s top explorers, including leadership from the Canadian record holding Bisaro Anima expedition team, as well as the Nova Zembla expedition team, who successfully located the famed British Arctic whaling ship that was missing since 1902. Then, listen as RCGS Explorer-in-Residence, Adam Shoalts, recounts tales from his incredible 2017solo trek across the Canadian Arctic. In addition, you will have a chance to bid on some breathtaking trips and prizes on our silent auction.
Tickets are $250 and proceeds will support programming at the RCGS’ exciting new headquarters at50 Sussex Drivein Ottawa.
A tax receipt will be issued for the charitable portion of the ticket.
