When will the 2019 National Child Welfare Evaluation Summit be held?
The conference will take place Tuesday through Wednesday, August 20–21, 2019. The conference will be 2 full days.

The conference will take place at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, 2600 Woodley Road, NW, Washington, DC.

Can I register for the Evaluation Summit on-site?
No, online pre-registration is required to attend the Evaluation Summit.
Are there any registration fees associated with the Evaluation Summit?
No. There are no registration fees associated with the Evaluation Summit.
Yes. Registration for the Children’s Bureau Annual Grantee Meetings and the Evaluation Summit will use separate registration sites. Please be sure to register for both the grantee meeting and the Summit.
Financial Assistance
No. Unfortunately, there are no funds available to assist participants with travel to the Evaluation Summit.
Hotel
How do I make hotel reservations?
The hotel block cutoff date has passed. We recommend that you call the conference hotel directly at 877.212.5752 to inquire about availability. There is no guarantee that the government per diem rate will be available at the conference hotel.
The hotel block cutoff date was August 5, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Once the room block closes there is no guarantee that the government per diem rate will be available at the conference hotel.
How do I get to the Washington Marriott Wardman Park?
No. We cannot offer discounted rates at additional hotels in the area.
What meals will be served at the conference?
Due to government regulations, no food or beverages are provided with your conference registration.
What lunch options are available at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park?
The Washington Marriott Wardman Park has multiple restaurant options located within the hotel and within walking distance. A selection of hotel offerings is listed below.
- Stone's Throw Restaurant and Bar showcases classic American fare with modern accents, prepared with farm-fresh, mid-Atlantic ingredients.
- Harry's Pub is a relaxed, welcoming restaurant open for lunch and dinner, featuring an Old English menu with a modern American twist.
- Woodley Park Pantry offers chef-crafted "Fresh Bites" menu options and also features Illy Coffee. Fresh bites is perfect for any snack or meal.
Meeting Materials
Will a printed program or meeting agenda be available at the meeting?
Printed programs will not be available at the meeting. The conference program and meeting agenda will be located on the About page of the Evaluation Summit website and on the Evaluation Summit mobile app. Download or print a program to refer to at the meeting before traveling to Washington, DC.
Will printed presentations be available at the meeting?
Printed presentations will not be provided at the meeting. As part of our continuing effort to be green, all Evaluation Summit materials will be available on the Evaluation Summit mobile app (if speakers have provided the materials). No paper handouts, USBs, or CDs will be available onsite. Download course materials or print materials before traveling to Washington, DC.

Continuing Education
Will continuing education units be provided for participation at the Evaluation Summit?
The Planning Committee of the 2019 Evaluation Summit will not provide CEUs. Please contact your accreditation organization to find out if you are allowed to submit for credits on an individual basis.

How do I submit my abstract for review? What is the deadline for submission?
The submission deadline has passed.
When will I find out if my submitted abstract has been selected?
All presenters were notified of their abstract status via email in mid-April. If you did not receive a notification email please contact the Evaluation Summit Planning Committee by email at summit2019@impaqint.com.

How can I stay updated on changes to the meeting?
The Evaluation Summit website is frequently updated with new information as it becomes available. The home page will provide important meeting updates.
Will there be Wi-Fi available at the meeting?
Free (limited bandwidth) Wi-Fi is available in the main meeting areas and session rooms.
Business casual is appropriate. We suggest you dress in layers for your comfort as the temperature in the meeting rooms can vary considerably.
