Brought to you by Canon Medical with support from Bracco, this unique 3-hour Hands-On Workshop is designed for sonographers, from beginners to intermediate scanners, to enhance their skills in bowel ultrasound and gain a foundation in technique for contrast ultrasound. This session delivers a combination of didactic and hands-on experience that can be used in everyday clinical practice

Learning objectives:

Perform basic bowel ultrasound techniques Hands-On with guided instruction:

• Bowel – the basics and beyond: Recognize and scan the most common areas for bowel pathology; small and large bowel, terminal ileum, appendix, sigmoid colon

• Contrast Ultrasound – how to get started: Understand the principles and setup for Contrast-Enhanced ultrasound of bowel/other; The importance of positioning for bowel and liver exams, machine setup, mechanical index setup

• Perform contrast setup and technique with a look at live application with contrast phantoms

• Examples of images and pathology will accompany hands-on sessions
