Bowel sonography is an increasingly expanding field within sonography. Currently, bowel sonography education at certification is clinical or simulated. As a result, the majority of bowel sonography education takes place in the clinical setting or is self directed which leads to variability in the reliability and accuracy of bowel sonography. Learning Goal Increase sonographer accuracy and reliability in assessing common pediatric bowel pathologies and provide the necessary resources for working through differential diagnosis to further standardize pediatric bowel sonography exams to improve patient care in pediatrics across Canada.
