Karly Kehoe is the Canada Research Chair in Atlantic Canada Communities and is a passionate advocate of scholars at risk. In 2016, while co-chair of the Royal Society of Edinburgh’s Young Academy of Scotland, she founded the At-Risk and Academic Refugee membership program. In 2017, she co-founded the Global Young Academy’s At Risk Scholar Initiative. She is a member of the steering committee of Science in Exile and is leading the development of a RSC College program that supports academics displaced to Canada by war, conflict and threats against the person. She is currently the president of the RSC College.
