Firefox

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, then click the Security tab.

    a. Click Custom Level.

  5. Click the Back button to return to the previous page, and then click the Refresh button to run scripts.

Chrome

  1. In the Chrome address bar, type chrome://settings/content/javascript.
  2. Adjust the toggle so that javascript is allowed.
  3. Close the Settings tab and Refresh the page.

Êtes-vous une infirmière ou un infirmier autorisé qui souhaite encadrer de nouvelles infirmières et nouveaux infirmiers en milieu de pratique ?

Les préceptrices-mentores et précepteurs-mentors (PM) sont des infirmières et infirmiers compétents employés par l’organisme de soins qui jouent un rôle de modèle et facilitent le développement des compétences cliniques, des aptitudes de raisonnement clinique et d’un bon jugement clinique chez les nouvelles et nouveaux diplômés. Les PM assurent également la sécurité des patients pendant l’intégration des compétences chez les nouvelles et nouveaux diplômés, facilitent une communication efficace pour assurer la collaboration et la satisfaction des patients et favorisent la socialisation du rôle.

Le programme de formation des préceptrices-mentores et précepteurs-mentors comprend neuf modules indépendants, une discussion animée et un devoir final de deux pages afin d’aider les PM à développer leurs compétences à encadrer les nouvelles infirmières et nouveaux infirmiers.

Public cible : infirmières et infirmiers autorisés qui travaillent dans un milieu de soins et qui souhaitent encadrer de nouvelles infirmières et nouveaux infirmiers.

Prérequis : les participantes et participants doivent être des infirmières et infirmiers autorisés.

Calendrier : le programme doit être complété d’ici le 15 juin. Les participantes et participants peuvent s’inscrire en tout temps. Les discussions en direct ont lieu tous les mois.

Course Content

  • Participants are responsible for access to any course materials, including articles and textbooks.
  • There will be no make-up assignments accepted.
  • Assignments will not be re-marked.
  • Late submissions will not be accepted, unless under exceptional circumstances.

Attendance

Attendance is mandatory for all sessions, barring exceptional circumstances, unless otherwise noted in the course syllabus.

Accommodations

If a participant requires special accommodation, they must notify the instructor(s) and CASN coordinator prior to the start of the course. Accommodations for physical or mental health reasons must be confirmed by a health professional.

Refund and Cancellation Policy for CASN Courses

  • Registrations that are cancelled up to one week before the start of the course will be refunded minus a $50 administrative fee.
  • Registrations that are cancelled with less than one week’s notice will not be refunded, though the participant will have the option to defer the cost of the course to apply to another CNEI/CASN course.
  • There will be no refunds issued once the course begins.
  • CASN reserves the right to cancel this course if it does not meet minimal group requirements.
