Firefox

  1. In the FireFox address bar, type about:config.

Internet Explorer

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, then click the Security tab.
  2. Click the Internet Zone.
  3. If you do not have to customize your Internet security settings, click Default Level. Then do step 4.
  4. If you have to customize your Internet security settings, follow these steps:
    a. Click Custom Level.
    b. In the Security Settings - Internet Zone dialog box, click Enable for Active Scripting in the Scripting section.
  5. Click the Back button to return to the previous page, and then click the Refresh button to run scripts.

Chrome

  1. In the Chrome address bar, type chrome://settings/content/javascript.
  2. Adjust the toggle so that javascript is allowed.
  3. Close the Settings tab and Refresh the page.

Creating Memorable Member Activities, with Erin Crisfield and Maria Vaiaso
Work with peers to turn CHF Canada resources into adult learning activities. In this hands-on workshop, you will use adult learning principles and techniques to create member education experiences for meetings, gatherings, and common areas.

Erin Crisfield (M.A. Adult Education) is passionate about participatory, transformative adult learning. She designs and facilitates community-based adult education and was an active member of a housing co-op in Vancouver before returning to the prairies.

Over a catered lunch, Saskatchewan/Manitoba Regional Board Director, Coral Hetherington, will give a regional report. We’ll have an opportunity to discuss important issues in Manitoba.

Demystifying Co-op Financial Statements for Higher Member Engagement, with Maria Vaiaso & and Nigel Mohammed
When it comes to money, knowledge is power! Once we gain a better understanding of the types of financial statements coops commonly use such as balance sheets, income/expense statements and the annual operating budget, we’ll discuss creative new ways of how coops can present that information to their membership in a way that they will understand.
