Registration terms and conditions

Payment Policy:

Registration fees must be paid in full by the appropriate registration deadline (advance or regular); otherwise the next fee category will apply. Payment can be made by VISA, MasterCard or American Express at the time of registration. You will be asked to provide your Customer Verification Number (CVN), located at the back of the credit card, and the cardholder’s billing address.

All registration fees are in Canadian dollars and include 13% HST. The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada guidelines do not permit the payment of physician registration fees by associated industry organizations.

Registration cancellation and refunds:

Up until September 1, 2022 (with penalty)

Requests for refunds for registration cancellation or registration category adjustment must be sent in writing and received by mplottawa@cmpa.org by September 1, 2022. A $50 administration fee (plus tax) will apply.

As of September 2, 2022 (non refundable)

Registration fees are non-refundable. In the event of cancellation or non-attendance due to an emergency, submit your request in writing (along with supporting documentation) to mplottawa@cmpa.org no later than October 1, 2022. Requests received after this date will not be considered. Requests will be reviewed and evaluated on a case by case basis.

Delegate Substitutions:

Requests for substitutions must be made in writing to mplottawa@cmpa.org and can be made without penalty at any time.

Photo/video reproduction:

The Canadian Medical Protective Association will be taking photographs and recording audio at the MPL Association International Conference. These may be used to plan and promote future CMPA or MPL Association activities. Your attendance constitutes consent to being photographed and recorded. If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please notify CMPA on-site staff.

Terms and Conditions

D.E. Systems' myConferenceSuite Registration System is responsible for personal information under its control. Collection of personal information by myConferenceSuite will be limited to what is necessary for the purposes of registration for the event.

When we use trusted third parties to act on our behalf by performing such functions as processing credit card payments, contractual or other appropriate means are used to ensure compliance by such third parties with this Policy and all applicable privacy laws.

Personal information will not be used or disclosed for purposes other than those for which it was collected, to process the registration data to a given event.

We will keep your personal information as accurate, complete and up-to-date as necessary for the purposes for which it is to be used.

The Policy is subject to PIPEDA and/or any other applicable privacy laws and myConferenceSuite reserves the right to change it at any time.
