Firefox

  1. In the FireFox address bar, type about:config.

Internet Explorer

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, then click the Security tab.
  2. Click the Internet Zone.
  3. If you do not have to customize your Internet security settings, click Default Level. Then do step 4.
  4. If you have to customize your Internet security settings, follow these steps:
    a. Click Custom Level.
    b. In the Security Settings - Internet Zone dialog box, click Enable for Active Scripting in the Scripting section.
  5. Click the Back button to return to the previous page, and then click the Refresh button to run scripts.

Chrome

  1. In the Chrome address bar, type chrome://settings/content/javascript.
  2. Adjust the toggle so that javascript is allowed.
  3. Close the Settings tab and Refresh the page.

 

Integrating Deprescribing into Nursing Curriculum

Event Description

This webinar series will provide nurse educators with information, resources, and practical tools to assist them in the integration of deprescribing competencies relevant to nurses into undergraduate nursing curriculum. Participants will examine concepts related to medication safety, appropriate prescribing, and deprescribing in the context of minimizing medication-related harms and providing safe, quality care for older adults. The focus will be on the nursing implications of deprescribing, and the understanding and application of the Deprescribing Framework developed by the Canadian Medication Appropriateness and Deprescribing Network.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Cancellations

  • Registrations that are cancelled up to one week before the start of the course will be refunded minus a $50 administrative fee.
  • Registrations that are cancelled with less than one week’s notice will not be refunded, though the participant will have the option to defer the cost of the course to apply to another CNEI/CASN course.
  • There will be no refunds issued once the course begins.
  • CASN reserves the right to cancel this course if it does not meet minimal group requirements.

Course Content

  • Participants are responsible for access to any course materials, including articles and textbooks.
  • There will be no make-up assignments accepted.
  • Assignments will not be re-marked.
  • Late submissions will not be accepted, unless under exceptional circumstances.

Attendance

  • Attendance is mandatory for all sessions, barring exceptional circumstances, unless otherwise noted in the course syllabus.

Accommodations

  • If a participant requires special accommodation, they must notify the instructor(s) and CASN coordinator prior to the start of the course. Accommodations for physical or mental health reasons must be confirmed by a health professional.
