Linda Dempster
Vice-President Professional Practice, Quality, Learning and Research, Fraser Health Authority
Linda Dempster is Vice President, Professional Practice, Quality, Research and Learning at Fraser Health, where she provides strategic leadership for nursing and allied health, professional practice and clinical quality services. In this role, Ms. Dempster supports the integration, implementation and sustainment of evidence-informed quality practices and regulation across Fraser Health. She was also the Fraser Health co-lead for the new Simon Fraser University Medical School.
She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer and is vice-chair of the governance and nominating committee.
She is currently on assignment to the BC Ministry of Health to lead the implementation of the minimal Nurse to Patient Ratio initiative.
Linda has more than 30 years of experience in a variety of health care settings. Most recently, Ms. Dempster was Vice President for the Pandemic Response portfolio at Fraser Health. She was also the interim associate senior executive lead with Immunize BC, where she developed an integrated immunization strategy for the province. She was also the 2014 winner of the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia Award of Distinction in Nursing.
Ms. Dempster is a registered nurse and holds a master degree in Leadership.
