Firefox

  1. In the FireFox address bar, type about:config.
  2. Look for the javascript.enabled setting.

Internet Explorer

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, then click the Security tab.
  2. Click the Internet Zone.
  3. If you do not have to customize your Internet security settings, click Default Level. Then do step 4.
  4. If you have to customize your Internet security settings, follow these steps:
    a. Click Custom Level.
    b. In the Security Settings - Internet Zone dialog box, click Enable for Active Scripting in the Scripting section.
  5. Click the Back button to return to the previous page, and then click the Refresh button to run scripts.

Chrome

  1. In the Chrome address bar, type chrome://settings/content/javascript.
  2. Adjust the toggle so that javascript is allowed.
  3. Close the Settings tab and Refresh the page.

AFPC CPERC 2020 CANCELLED

The situation with the COVID-19 pandemic has evolved very quickly over the past few days and, amongst other things, is affecting conferences and universities. Just today the University of Montreal issued a directive that all activities resulting in large gatherings are to be canceled or postponed. These measures include conferences and will be in place until the situation returns to normal. Today, the Quebec premier called for organizers to cancel all indoor events attracting crowds of more than 250 people and all other large gatherings that are not considered essential. We expect similar directives from other universities and provinces soon.

Due to such travel restrictions, and that COVID-19 has been declared a pandemic by WHO, AFPC has decided to cancel the 2020 Canadian Pharmacy Education and Research Conference, which was to be held in Montreal from May 21-24. The CPERC Working Group and AFPC Board will be discussing options for rescheduling or virtual presentations of some of the content.

Full refunds will be issued to those of you who have already registered. If you have already booked your travel, please contact your airline or travel agent, and/or your insurance agency if you purchased cancellation insurance, to find out your options. If you have already booked your accommodation, please contact the hotel to cancel your reservation.

We regret this has happened, as we had an exceptional program for CPERC, and members are always excited about the opportunity to reconnect. However, the well-being of our members and Canadians is top priority.

Cancellation Policy

Notice of cancellation must be made in writing by emailing the AFPC administrative assistant at admin@afpc.info. A $50 cancellation fee will apply for CPERC registrations cancelled until May 31, 2022. After this date, no refunds will be issued. No refunds will be made for non-attendance at the conference.

If CPERC 2022 is cancelled due to the pandemic, AFPC will transition to a virtual event (with registration fees partially refunded to reflect the virtual conference rate).
