June 16-19, 2026

Reconnect with your colleagues and friends in Edmonton for AFPC’s Canadian Pharmacy Education and Research Conference (CPERC), June 16-19, 2026, at the Westin Edmonton Hotel. CPERC 2026 is co-hosted by the University of Alberta and the University of British Columbia.

CPERC Program

The CPERC program will consist of educational sessions for pharmacy educators and researchers on June 17 & 18. They include keynote presentations, mini and concurrent sessions, a workshop, faculty updates and poster presentations. Social events include an opening reception on June 16, an awards gala on June 17 and the Alberta-British Columbia fun night on June 18.

Pharmacy Practice Research Symposium

For the second year, a full day symposium (9:00-16:00) on pharmacy practice research is being organized by AFPC on Friday June 19. The symposium will bring the best research in this discipline from across the country, with an emphasis on Western Canada advances in pharmacy practice driven by research.

Use of Coupon Codes

Some Faculties are using coupon codes to allow their members to register without paying with their credit card. Some Faculties have separate coupons for CPERC and for the symposium registration. Before registering, please check with your Faculty to use the codes directly during the application process. If more than one code is available from your Faculty to register to the main conference and a satellite symposium, apply each code one at a time.

Supporting AI Literacy in Students and Leveraging AI for Case-Based Learning Symposia:

A second symposium will be offered in the morning (9:00-12:00) of Friday June 19 2026 on the use of Artificial Intelligence in pharmacy education. The symposium will address, with hands-on experience and examples, how we can support AI literacy for our students and how AI can be used to deepen case-based learning.
