Due to the highly precise nature of radiation therapy, immobilization devices are utilized to create a reproducible patient setup. In the treatment of prostate cancer with external beam radiation therapy (EBRT), knee and ankle rests are often employed to assist in positioning and maintaining a consistent pelvic tilt. The goal of this study was to determine if the use of indexed knee and ankle rests provided a more reproducible set-up compared to non-indexed devices.
