Using examples from the various roles she's held over 20 years in radiation therapy and medical imaging, Caitlin will speak to the importance of valuing, understanding, creating, and sharing evidence in optimizing the care we provide our patients. She will highlight how from whatever position we hold and in whatever MRT discipline we practice, we can contribute to the advancement of our professional body of knowledge.

Objectives:

  • Describe the journey of 'professionalization' in medical radiation technology
  • Articulate the important roles that evidence plays in creating a professional body of knowledge
  • Leverage our expertise and identity as MRTs to contribute to best practice and the diffusion of innovation from any position in the system
