This presentation will discuss the impact of engaging with patients to bridge gaps in the patient’s experience. Exploring common needs of patients in the medical radiation and imaging setting, through in-person feedback or in-house surveys, helps to guide health professionals to improve person-centered care at their institutions. Examples of small projects with great impact will be discussed.

Objectives:

  • Explain the importance of including the patient voice in healthcare
  • Measure the patient experience quantitatively and qualitatively
  • Evaluate the patient experience and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Recommend actionable steps to promote and enhance the patient experience in their department
