Description:

This session will review existing evidence base for nuclear cardiology in the evaluation of patients with suspected cardiac amyloidosis. This will focus heavily on appropriate acquisition and interpretation of cardiac imaging of bone radiotracers.

Objectives:

• Understand the changing epidemiology of cardiac amyloidosis
• Outline the approach to screening for cardiac amyloidosis
• Describe the approach to interpretation of technetium pyrophosphate imaging
• Describe recent advances in imaging for cardiac amyloidosis
