Description:

In this session Dr. Steven Burrell will share recent and relevant updates related to bone mineral densitometry (BMD) from key organizations. New approaches to fracture risk determination will also be discussed.

Objectives:

• Review new BMD guidelines and recommendations from leading organizations.
• Discuss impact of new guidelines and recommendations on MRT practice/technologist’s workflow.
• Review the two different models for determining fracture risk and the pivotal role of technologists in implementation.
