Objectives:

  • Learn the common pitfalls associated with MRI IAC imaging and how they can be mitigated with various techniques including hardware selection, sequence choice, artifact reduction and protocol optimization.
  • Gain insights into the radiologist's perspective of reporting MRI IAC exams - including a description of relevant anatomy and structures most important to for the radiologist's clinical report.

This session will provide an update on current MR imaging artifacts and their management in fast-paced workflows. Recognizing the factors contributing to the appearance of MRI artifacts and their effects on image quality.

Objectives:

  • Describe and identify the types of MRI artifacts with clinical examples
  • Understand image optimization techniques to correct artifacts
  • Learn how to prevent the occurrence of MRI artifacts
