Objectives:

  • Recognize the radiation therapists’ views on tattoo-less and body marker-less positioning techniques. Discuss methods to minimize radiation tattoo stigma.
  • Describe how to educate radiation therapists on the psychosocial effects of tattoos.
  • Explore how to support patients who may experience negative psychosocial impacts from radiation tattoos.

Prostate SBRT: Local Experience and the Patient's perspective

In this session we will review the evidence for and advantages of prostate SBRT from both the Radiation Oncologist's and Patient's perspective.

Objectives:

  • To briefly review the evidence for prostate SBRT
  • To discuss the experience with prostate SBRT in Saint John, New Brunswick
  • To present the patient's perspective after having received prostate SBRT
