A patient’s cancer journey is undeniably overwhelming and complicated. A new diagnosis presents an immense amount of information pertaining to their upcoming treatment options and plan. This can create a feeling of uncertainty and intimidation. By educating and connecting with patients throughout their journey, it can offer a sense of security and support during a difficult transition.

Objectives.

  • Demonstrate the need for a patient navigator within the radiation therapy cancer journey
  • Discuss the implementation of virtual education tools in the radiotherapy setting

This session will be 25 minutes (20 minute presentation with 5 minutes of Q&A)
