About the Program

Trust and estate disputes present unique challenges, often involving emotionally charged issues and complex family dynamics. Unlike corporate or contractual matters, these disputes can deeply affect relationships, making mediation a powerful tool for resolving conflicts early while preserving family ties and avoiding costly, public litigation. This highly practical webinar with David Paul Stark will offer a mediator’s perspective on how counsel can prepare for and make the best use of mediation to increase the chances of a successful outcome in estate and trust disputes. Among the topics David will address are:

  • unique aspects of estate mediation
  • what to consider when preparing for mediation
  • identifying the real cause of the disagreement
  • building a framework for productive discussions
  • getting past impasses and roadblocks; and
  • ensuring any agreements are fair and enforceable

Along the way David will share proven strategies for managing client expectations, navigating sensitive family dynamics and finding creative solutions. Don’t miss this chance to learn how to become a more effective advocate at mediation and help your clients achieve a successful resolution of estate and trust disputes. Whether you’re new to estate mediation or just looking to refine your approach, you’ll be glad you attended!
