Description:

Organized by the Vision Zero & Safe System Subcommittee of the Road Safety Committee

Two-way stop-controlled (TWSC) intersections are common on rural highways, and research has shown that the majority of collisions at those intersections tend to be right-angle collisions with severe outcomes. This panel discussion will focus on safety issues (e.g. operational, geometric, human factors) and jurisdictional experiences (e.g. network screening, countermeasures, challenges) associated with TWSC intersections.
