Within industry there have been developments in type of prime coats (emulsified vs. cutbacks), prime products, application procedures, and methods for assessing benefits of prime coats to overall structural adequecy of flexible pavements. This panel discussion will address prime coats for flexible pavements, and will feature industry stakeholders presenting their unique perspective on the changing ways industry views the use of prime coats.There will be a focus on industry experience and challenges with prime coats, and on a path forward for specifying prime coats – especailly for late paving-season projects in colder regions.
